When the publication she needed did not exist, she created ScreamWire.

Methodology
ScreamWire monitors 588 configured source endpoints: the major trades, horror and genre press, international outlets, studio and distributor newsrooms, festival wires, and entity-specific feeds for the studios and filmmakers we track. The source list is curated by hand and grows weekly; an outlet earns a slot by breaking or advancing industry news, not by volume.
Every morning the pipeline collects the day's coverage, classifies each story for industry signal and genre relevance (machine-assisted: large-language-model classification with deterministic scoring), de-duplicates across outlets, and ranks the result. The story summaries on each digest are machine-drafted from the source reporting, and the entity, slate, and deal records in The Record are machine-extracted from the same coverage. A human editor reviews the cut before anything publishes. ScreamWire aggregates and attributes; every story links to the outlet that reported it, and we do not publish opinion. Errors are fixed promptly and logged on our corrections page.
